The Awam Buddhist community arises from the Awam Padling Tersar lineage, a living stream of wisdom within the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. Rooted in profound terma teachings and sustained through authentic transmission, this lineage emphasizes the integration of study, meditation, and compassionate activity in everyday life. Under the guidance of His Holiness Khenchen Lama Rinpoche, the Awam lineage has grown into an international mandala of dharma centers, monasteries, and sangha groups. These centers serve as places of refuge and practice where individuals come together to learn the Dharma, meditate, receive teachings and empowerments, and support one another on the path of awakening.
